Currently, when HIV screening test is found to be positive, Geenius HIV Antibody is performed to confirm the result. When Geenius HIV Antibody results are Indeterminate or Negative, an aliquot is referred to Public Health Ontario Laboratory (PHOL) for HIV-1/2 Nucleic Acid Amplification Testing (NAAT).
